DC King of Los Angeles - Day 2 - Bancroft
Sunday, June 24th. It was hot as hell. It was also Day 2 of the soon to be legendary DC King of Los Angeles competition. The spot was Hubert Howe Bancroft Middle School and the scene was thick. Once again, DC put together a solid street course in the main yard and so began the shredding. Qualifiers and Semifinals were held on the main course, with the finals held specifically to a ramp to picnic table. When it came down to it, things got hectic, with the top 3 or 4 riders getting super loose and throwing tricks you definitely wouldn't try by yourself. In the end, it was Josh Grossguth, hailing from Lancaster, CA who took the day. After a solid showing on the street course, Josh dominated the finals, throwing a late shuv, a big kickflip, a backside 180-late flip, and capped it all off with a massive frontside 180 heelflip that won the crowd and the judges over. Next stop: Barker Hanger in Santa Monica.
